About Matt Baruch

Matt Baruch is currently a New York BOCES instructor, an NCTM presenter and an educational consultant for several companies. As an educational consultant, Matt has developed and continues to build upon workshops and learning that allow differentiating instruction for teachers to help bridge the gap between classroom instruction and student learning. 

Experience

Previously, Matt was a classroom teacher for over fourteen years from remedial/collaborative classes all the way up to honors level, from pre-algebra to precalculus and from suburban to city schools. In the past six years, Matt has served as Math/Science Department Chairman and K-12 District Supervisor of Math.     

Credible

Matt earned his undergraduate degree in Math Education with a minor in Psychology from Arizona State University and has two Masters degrees; Business Management and Educational Leadership. His philosophies and model are taken from Ignacio Estrada; "If a child can not learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn"   

New Workshop: Mindset

Mindset can change everything. By learning with the right mindset, we can motivate students and help them to improve in the classroom. This workshop will focus on the information of mindset, methods and techniques teachers can use to encourage students and activities that can be put in place to make learning more enjoyable and achievable for all students.
